That is why it of utmost importance that you know how to optimize your site to improve your search engine ranking that can result to more traffic.

1. Initiate link campaigns. Identify your potential link partners and request for reciprocal linking. To make this work best for you, identify the topics that are closely relevant to yours. For example, if you are running a website about reading glasses, you can link to sites that talks about ophthalmology, eye disorders and vision problems, designer eye glasses, etc.

2. Understand each search engines algorithm. Giant search engines like Yahoo! Google and MSN have different requirements in ranking websites. Knowing these requirements and properly applying them on your website will guarantee your secure spots on these search engines.
